About the event
Encryption serves as an essential tool allowing marginalized people, like the LGBTQ+ community, to connect online without fear of monitoring or hacking. It is an essential tool in protecting sensitive communications and information of vulnerable populations from hostile governments, bad actors and other parties, and allows them to safely connect with others. This panel will examine the current threats to encryption and the need for encryption to protect marginalized communities.
