Today, LGBT Tech's Executive Director Christopher Wood had the privilege to take part in Cointelegraph Talks, a series of online panels hosted by independent digital media resource Cointelegraph. Mr. Wood was joined by other tech luminaries such as Christof Wittig, founder and CEO of Hornet; Susan Ho, co-founder and CEO of Muckr.ai; and Joe DiPasquale, CEO of Bitbull Capital. The topic of today's panel - titled "LGBTQ+ and Blockchain: Community-Powered Tech and Tech-Powered Community" - was the importance of cryptocurrency and blockchain for LGBTQ+ individuals and communities.
"I think that these technologies do offer an opportunity for our communities to survive and thrive," Mr. Wood commented. He went on to describe how the LGBTQ+ community tends adopt technology much earlier (and more frequently) than their non-LGBTQ+ counterparts, a trend which ultimately allows "people from all backgrounds to connect with the LGBTQ+ community in a really positive way."
The full panel is available to watch on YouTube.
